ICMR International Fellowship for biomedical scientists from Mauritania
To promote South–South cooperation and in view of the rapid advances in biomedical sciences and the shared health challenges faced by developing countries, ICMR places strong emphasis on international collaboration and capacity building.
The fellowship covers return economy airfare and a sustenance allowance (for accommodation, food and local transport).
Eligible applicants should be citizens of Mauritania, employed in recognized academic or research institutions, preferably below 45 years of age, with qualifications such as Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or Master of Science (Life Sciences). Applications may be submitted throughout the year and are selected by an Expert Committee constituted by the Director General, ICMR.

Applications may be forwarded to the International Health Division at ICMR HQ by the Employer/Head of the Institution, preferably through the Indian Embassy Nouakchott, Mauritania, for further processing.
